Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 June 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL_ENTITY] ("we", "us") for your use of the Gibbon app ("Gibbon"). By using Gibbon you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Gibbon is

Gibbon is a personal finance tool that helps you view and understand your own money by connecting to your bank accounts through Open Banking. Gibbon is an information and budgeting tool only.

Important

Gibbon is not financial advice. The scores, budgets, "safe to spend" figures, subscription detection and any other information shown are for general guidance only. They are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and they are not a recommendation to take or avoid any action. Always make your own decisions and seek a qualified professional where appropriate.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use Gibbon.

3. Your account

You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and Apple account secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.

4. Connecting your bank

Bank connections are made through TrueLayer, an account information service provider authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. You authorise access directly with your bank. Access is read-only: Gibbon cannot move money or make payments. You can disconnect at any time. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data provided by your bank or by TrueLayer.

5. Acceptable use

6. Accuracy and availability

We work to keep Gibbon accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". Figures depend on data from your bank and third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on information in Gibbon, from inaccurate or unavailable third-party data, or from decisions you make using the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under law.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Gibbon, disconnect your accounts, or delete your account and data at any time from within the app. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or to protect the service and its users.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows the latest version, and we will surface material changes where appropriate.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
